Electrical Engineer - Substations, Systems & Distribution

• Design, plan, and oversee the installation and maintenance of electrical substations and distribution systems
• Perform system analysis, fault level studies, and load flow calculations
• Prepare technical specifications, engineering reports, and project documentation
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with electrical standards and regulations
• Support commissioning and troubleshooting activities for electrical infrastructure projects
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality assurance protocols throughout the project lifecycle

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 3–5 years experience in substation and electrical distribution projects
• Proficient in power system design, electrical drawings, and relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, DigSilent, and ETAP)
• Solid understanding of SANS, NRS, and other applicable engineering codes and practices
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proven ability to work independently and within a project team
• Registered or eligible for registration with ECSA (advantageous)
