Your Opportunity:The jobholder will promote and sell the full range of ASSA ABLOY - Traka Africa Key and Asset Management Solutions and related solution from Critical Infrastructure to the Mining sector. This will include a focused approach to end user clients as well as through our channel partners.You will report to the Head of Mining – Traka Africa, and you possess the ability to have good interpersonal skills and confidence to communicate, present, assert and speak to all stakeholders.It will be your mission to:Build market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships.Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.Create, develop and close new business opportunitiesEnsure that your sales targets are met or exceededWork with the marketing and leadership team to develop and execute sales and marketing strategiesBuild portfolio of clients, both existing and newMaintain accurate customer and proposal recordsPrepare and deliver technical sales presentations and demonstrations showing the capabilities of the product rangeContract negotiation and management of customer expectationsBuild and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure that return business is generatedBuild and strengthen relationships with existing internal and external partners to ensure that return business is generatedProvide the most appropriate solution to satisfy your client’s requirementsCloses new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations.Developing quotes and proposals for clients.Provide accurate forecasting and activity information to the Traka Africa General Manager on a weekly basisAchieving budgeted (as a minimum) product revenue and margin – monthly/ quarterly & yearly.Present sales pipeline and target reports to business stakeholdersBecome and remain fully skilled in all existing and new technologies offered by the ASSA ABLOY group Who You Are:You will be self-motivated, trustworthy, honest, and willing to learn. You will have the ability to work on an individual basis and as part of a team with excellent communication skills with colleagues at all levels across the business.Professional Qualifications:EssentialSolution Sales training & experienceTraining in various electronic solutionsStrong Understanding of the Mining environmentFluency in oral and written EnglishDesirableNational Certificate; Electrical Engineering N4 – N6 , IT, or business. Experience:Essential5 years’ solid industry experience with a proven record of accomplishment in selling projects and solutions in South Africa.You will be commercially aware and have an excellent understanding of industry trends and customer demands.Strong technical knowledge in a solutions environment is required.Ability to develop technical specifications for new projectsPreferred:Experience in development of Key management and Asset Management solutions and services salesKey Competencies / Personal Attributes:Sales planningTarget drivenSelling to customer’s needsTerritory managementMust be able to find new project-based businessMust have their own reliable vehicle and valid drivers licenseMust be able and willing to travel internationally at timesMarket knowledgePresentation skillsMeeting sales goalsGood relationship skillsStrong communication skills and IT fluency.Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.Excellent organizational skills.Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
