A Southern African retail solutions companyis recruiting for Baristas / Coffee Sales Ambassadors, based in Gauteng and Cape TownAbout the RoleWe are looking for vibey, energetic, and sales-driven individuals to join our Roastery Coffee teamAre you an energetic salesperson who will actively engage with customers, rather than wait for customers to come to them?If you are passionate, resilient, a great communicator in English, and excited to learn coffee-making skills, we want you!Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Actively engage and approach customers to promote and sell our coffee and products
  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages (training provided)
  • Upsell and promote our products to drive sales and grow store performance
  • Handle food items safely and hygienically (including light food preparation)
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in line with food safety standards
  • Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and POS systems
  • Monitor stock levels, restock as needed, and report shortages
  • Follow opening, closing, and cash-up procedures accurately
  • Take initiative in creating a welcoming and high-energy environment
Requirements:
  • Sales personality - confident, proactive, and not afraid to approach customers
  • Energetic, positive, and resilient with the ability to handle rejection
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Well-groomed, professional appearance
  • Previous retail or food service experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
  • Matric qualification is essential
