KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
  • Oversee and manage respective Plant Supervisor(s), Production & Maintenance teams within the area of responsibility
  • Manage production & maintenance team utilization and performance / output
  • Responsible for plant performance and Compliance to contractual quality and quantity KPIs
  • Ensure compliance to Company and Client safety standards
  • Take accountability for Safety Performance in accordance with the MHSA/OSHA legal appointment.
  • Maintain effective administration and control procedures to meet performance objectives, including financial control, HR/IR, procurement and stock management.
  • Continuous improvement and optimization of processes
  • Implement and maintain Financial Control with Profit & Loss accountability for the plant(s)
  • Monitoring and detail records and reporting on all aspects of the processes, ongoing projects
  • Ensure efficient resource management of employees to ensure they can meet the performance objectives required of them.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering a professional and high-quality service.
  • Client feedback meetings and reporting as required
  • Compile Plant Reports and attend client meetings as required
  • Monitor plant health and pro-actively intervene to ensure plant availability is optimized
  • Effective reporting to the Operations Manager of the area
  • Perform plant operational standby duties
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES
  • Qualifications: B.Eng or BTech in Chemical Engineering (Chemical Engineering Qualification is preferred. Civil and Mechanical will be considered depending on relevant experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in advanced water treatment.
  • Experience in RO, UF, Precipitation, Clarification will be an advantage
  • Previous experience in managing staff will be an advantage
  • Understanding of plant health and managing water treatment assets.
  • Relevant management experience
  • Proven record of satisfactory prior performance
  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, data base, power point and e-mail
  • Good communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Skills in planning, attention to detail and process troubleshooting
  • Ethical and responsible behaviour
  • Innovative and accountable
  • Client management
