Job Specification: Quality Assurance (QA) TesterDepartment: Technology / Product DevelopmentLocation: Cape Town - Fully remote, with occasional o 􀆯 ice days for team meetingsEmployment Type: Full-timeSalary: R25 000Role OverviewWe are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Tester with proven expertise in automated testing frameworks—particularly Cypress or Playwright—and a strong interest in the property and hospitality technology sector. In this role, you’ll help ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of our booking engines, property management, and guest experience platforms. By joining our collaborative product team, you’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional user experiences in a fast-paced industry.What We’re Looking For
  • Hands-on QA experience, with proven use of Cypress or Playwright.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, processes, and automation best practices.
  • Experience testing platforms in the property/hospitality sector (e.g., booking engines, reservations, PMS).
  • Proficiency with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Trello.
  • Good understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and APIs (REST/GraphQL).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, detail orientation, and clear communication abilities.
Qualifications :
  • 2 to 3 years’ Experience with performance/load testing tools.
  • Knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
  • ISTQB or other relevant testing certification.
  • Previous experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress or Playwright.
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across web and mobile applications.
  • Test critical hospitality and property workflows, including booking engines, PMS, POS, and guest management systems.
  • Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
  • Contribute automated test coverage to CI/CD pipelines.
  • Maintain accurate test documentation, including test plans, cases, and reports.
  • Provide feedback and insights to improve product quality and customer experience.
  • Stay current with QA tools, automation best practices, and emerging hospitality tech trends.
