LOCATION: Cape Town, Hybrid Work Environment.R HIGHLY NEGOTIABLE PLUS ANNUAL PERFORMANCE BONUSOur client is an investment and advisory firm that invests in and supports early stage, high growth South African and African technology businesses with global potential. They are growing their portfolio and funds under management substantially and are seeking a dynamic self-starter to support the investment team.This business is in a high growth phase- they are busy, and they need super smart people who are outstanding at modelling and who enjoy working hard, adding value, and seeing the results of their efforts.They now seek an experienced analyst to take an analyst position within the investment team in order to meet the demand from target companies they are looking to invest in and to support the existing portfolio.JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

You will be responsible for conducting financial due diligence focussed around:

Financial modelling and analysis;
Company and industry analysis;
Preparing investment papers and reports;
You will be responsible for advanced presentation and reporting through spreadsheets and documents;
You will be responsible for portfolio performance monitoring:

Collection and interpretation of key performance metrics;
You will be responsible for travel and events:

National and regional travel and attending industry related events;
You will be responsible for assisting with aspects relating to executing, managing and reporting on investments and valuations, with direct exposure to the business partners, the investment process, the deal team and underlying portfolio investments.

CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

You are a collaborative high performing team player;
You have a desire to join a Venture Capital firm that is quickly growing and making a positive impact in the African VC ecosystem;
You have excellent communication (verbal and written) skills in English.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

You are a CFA, CA(SA)/Bus Sc with good academic results;
You have a minimum of 1- 2 year current, relevant working experience in the financial or related sectors using your modelling skills.
A strong Preference given to candidates with non-listed equity valuation and financial modelling experience;
You are highly proficient with MS Excel, Word and Outlook.

You are keen to work in PE/VC in CT. You want to work with a focussed team; you want real industry experience - and you are prepared to work for this!
