The successful candidate will report directly to the Group and serve as a critical driver in managing the financial operations of multiple subsidiaries. They will take ownership of financial reporting, audits, stakeholder reporting, cash management, and regulatory compliance — all while leading a small finance team and collaborating closely with investment and operations leaders.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor the finance team, managing KPIs, workflows, and reviewsPrepare monthly management accounts and quarterly consolidated board packs across multiple legal entitiesOwn the full external audit cycle and ensure timely delivery of Annual Financial StatementsEnsure FSCA regulatory compliance and reporting for Alpha Wealth and Alpha Private CapitalManage payroll processes, commissions, bi-annual bonuses, and related complianceOversee treasury and cash management, including offshore funds and currency hedgingMaintain strong relationships with bankers, auditors, insurers, and internal stakeholdersCoordinate tax submissions, SARB compliance, company secretarial duties, and financial policy implementationCandidate ProfilePostgraduate qualification preferred; professional registration with SAICA, CIMA, or SAIPA advantageous2 to 5 years of experience in a similar financial management role with team leadershipStrong knowledge of IFRS, consolidation, multicurrency accounting, and regulatory requirementsProficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel is highly desirableExceptional planning, organizational, and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage competing prioritiesSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and a proactive team player
