- Act as the bridge between our South African and Dutch bookkeepers, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across jurisdictions.
- Manage end-to-end finance operations, Financial Control (including Xero bookkeeping oversight, reconciliations, compliance, and audit readiness), FP&A (forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis), Treasury (cash flow, liquidity, and funding).
- Oversee payroll, commissions, reimbursements, and leave compliance, ensuring timely and accurate payments across all entities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, VAT, transfer pricing, and statutory tax obligations in South Africa, the Netherlands, and the UK, working closely with external accountants and tax advisors.
- Manage supplier payments, monitor SaaS and infrastructure costs, and negotiate favourable terms to optimise spend.
- Drive revenue collection by managing invoicing, payment tracking, and overdue account follow-ups.
- Own the tracking, reporting, and insight generation for key SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, churn, CAC, NRR, GRR, burn, runway) to support leadership and investor decision-making.
- Provide financial reporting and insights to the Head of Operations, CEO and leadership team, including runway, burn rate, revenue, and other SaaS KPIs to guide strategic decisions.
- Support inter-company transactions, licence agreements, shareholder resolutions, and equity administration.
- Contribute to fundraising readiness and investment support by preparing investor reporting packs, maintaining the cap table, and updating the data room.
- Lead the transition to an internal finance function by recruiting, training, and managing a team across bookkeeping, FP&A, Treasury, and Financial Control, while implementing scalable processes and automation to support growth.
- Assist with global expansion initiatives by ensuring financial processes and compliance structures scale across jurisdictions.

- Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) – Reducing DSO to accelerate collections and improve cash inflows.
- % Customer Invoices Overdue – Minimising overdue invoices to maintain strong cash discipline and liquidity.
- # Insights to Leadership Team – Providing actionable financial insights that influence leadership decisions and business outcomes.
- Monthly Accounts Ready (days after month-end) – Accelerating the month-end close process to deliver timely reporting.
- # Reporting Errors – Reducing reporting errors to ensure accuracy, reliability, and trust in financial data.
- % Filings on Time – Maintaining full compliance with statutory filings and ensuring 100% on-time submissions.
- % Transactions Reconciled – Driving reconciliation accuracy to strengthen financial controls and audit readiness.
- % Supplier Invoices Paid on Time – Ensuring timely supplier payments to build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- CA (SA) with +5 years’ post-articles experience.
- Experience working in finance at a minimum of two companies after articles.
- Solid working knowledge of VAT and transfer pricing with experience managing multi-jurisdiction compliance.
- Exposure to international business environments, preferably in tech or start-ups.
- Proficiency with finance systems and tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align bookkeepers, advisors, and leadership.
- Ambition to progress into a Head of Finance role, with the drive to build Finance as a standalone function.
- Remuneration: R700,000 – R800,000 per year, with additional upside through future share options as the company grows.
