Job Summary A well-established and vertically integrated business in the natural resources and processing sector is looking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer. This executive role is ideal for a commercially astute finance leader who enjoys being close to operations, engaging directly with site leaders, and driving business performance beyond the boardroom.
The role is highly operational, requiring regular travel to various locations across the country to support and oversee regional teams. This is an opportunity to influence both strategic direction and day-to-day execution in a hands-on capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee the full finance function, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance
  • Partner closely with operational and executive teams to drive performance across all sites
  • Provide commercial insights to support decision-making and long-term strategic planning
  • Ensure strong financial controls and risk management frameworks are in place
  • Lead working capital optimization and cost-efficiency initiatives
  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance team
Qualifications & Experience:
  • CA(SA)
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership, with exposure to manufacturing, agriculture, or industrial sectors
  • Strong operational focus with experience supporting multi-site operations
  • Willingness to travel extensively across sites as part of the role
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on leadership style and strong business acumen
