This live-in position offers the chance to lead a talented team while delivering world-class guest experiences in one of South Africa’s most iconic safari destinations.DescriptionThe successful couple will bring strong leadership, adaptability, and a passion for African hospitality. Working closely with head office, you will drive lodge operations while maintaining the highest standards of service, guest satisfaction, and team management.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing operational staff and ensuring alignment with company values
  • Maintaining effective communication across all management levels
  • Ensuring guests enjoy a seamless and memorable safari experience
  • Implementing and managing budgetary systems
  • Driving proactive planning and coordination with support departments
  • Upholding health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Managing staff relations and ensuring strong labour relations practices
  • Supervising lodge upkeep, maintenance, and back-of-house operations
This role is suited to a couple with a proven track record in luxury safari lodges who can bring innovation, energy, and stability to a remote environment.Minimum Requirements
  • At least 5 years’ experience managing high-end safari lodges
  • Professional appearance and conduct
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisational ability and adaptability
  • Solid background in staff management and labour relations (union experience advantageous)
  • Knowledge of food and wine service
  • Passion for nature and conservation
  • Valid driver’s licence and own transport
  • South African citizen or valid work permit
