Purpose of the RoleThe purpose of this role is to lead and develop the Industrial Engineering department across two manufacturing facilities. The incumbent will be responsible for driving production efficiency through the implementation of structured production philosophies, process optimisation, capital investment planning, and the management of a growing team. A strong focus will be placed on continuous improvement, time studies, and alignment with company-wide management systems.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the Industrial Engineering department, including chrono analysis functions.Lead and mentor a team of Industrial Engineers, currently comprising three members.Align production methodologies, processes, procedures, and reporting templates with sister companies.Conduct capacity planning and align labour resources with production demands.Oversee and motivate all capital expenditure (CapEx) investments for both sites.Coordinate new facility layouts and construction projects.Establish and lead an Operations Committee to promote structured production practices.Ensure performance targets and operational indicators are met in line with company standards.Drive the implementation of new technologies aimed at improving productivity and ROI.Champion a continuous improvement culture and uphold company-specific management systems.Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to internal quality standards.Establish a chrono analyst function to carry out time studies supporting accurate costing.Support the transfer of systems and methodologies from affiliated sites to ensure consistency and standardisation.Qualifications and ExperienceNational Diploma or higher qualification in Industrial Engineering.Extensive knowledge and practical experience in applying structured production philosophies.Minimum 5 years of experience in an Industrial Engineering leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably with complex or non-standardised production lines.
