We are seeking an experienced Principal Test Engineer for our Information Technology team. This is a remote based role, with occasional travel to central Scotland.
The Principal Test Engineer will be responsible for leading the development, implementation and delivery of OutSystems Testing Strategy and its relentless continuous improvement. They will be the principal OutSystems Testing domain expert, thought leader and quality assurance champion, working as part of an integrated multi-functional Agile team. They understand the imperative of an “automate first” approach to Testing within a Digital world and are committed to this vision. They are passionate about technology, excited about the impact of emerging innovations and relish working in a constantly evolving environment.
The following are minimum requirements related to the Principal Test Engineer position.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in computer science / engineering or equivalent work experience
- Tricentis Tosca - Automation Engineer Level 2 Certification (desirable)
- Significant experience in a Lead Testing role (Test Manager, Chapter Lead, Principal Test Engineer etc.)
- Extensive multi-browser E-Commerce testing experience
- OutSystems functional Testing experience
- Agile Testing practitioner with deep knowledge of frameworks/methodologies and use of ALM tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira)
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and proficient in writing tests for them
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, JSON and the HTTP protocol
