- Determine procurement needs of the business, ensuring all stores are correctly stocked and managed
- Ensure all raw materials and packaging are available on time as needed by production
- Determine weekly planning schedule
- Responsible for forecasting, sourcing, negotiating, contract management, and supplier relationship management
- Prepare associated reports for the management team, including recommendations to improve performance and reduce costs
- Planning and sequence plan
- Calculating forecasts, ordering, and tracking bulk orders from local and overseas suppliers
- Calculating forecasts, ordering, and tracking all packaging orders
- Manage team responsible for the day-to-day ordering of raw materials and logistics handling
- Manage stock control/counts and take responsibility for variances and COS calculations
- Manage suppliers, ensuring on-time, in-full deliveries at the required specifications
- Negotiating prices and trying to get better deals
- Investigate potential new suppliers
- Develop procurement-related policies as may be needed
- Costings
- Tertiary qualification in Cost Accounting or Supply Chain Management
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar role
- Valid RSA driver's license
- Strong numeracy skills and ability to analyse data essential
