- Lead and execute audit and advisory engagements with a focus on digital, cyber, and IT-related risks.
- Set and implement internal audit strategies in collaboration with the Senior Audit Manager.
- Manage audit and advisory projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work and actionable insights.
- Evaluate risks across strategic, operational, compliance, reporting, and internal control domains.
- Identify control gaps, assess risk mitigation strategies, and recommend process improvements.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies (AI, cloud, data governance).
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on governance, risk, and control matters.
- Drive process improvements within internal audit methodology and promote continuous learning.
- Manage budgets, ensure cost-effectiveness, and lead a high-performance team through coaching, mentoring, and development.
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- CISM, CISA, OSCP, CEH
- CIA / PIA
- CRMA, CRISC
- Additional IT/security certifications (ISO27001, PCI-DSS, etc.)..
- 5–6 years of relevant IT audit experience, with at least 2 years in a management/leadership role.
- Strong background in digital technologies, infrastructure, and IT architecture.
- Proven track record in managing complex projects and delivering within scope, time, and budget.
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Prior experience within financial services or insurance industries is advantageous.
- Knowledge Areas: ITGCs, IT infrastructure, cloud computing, AI/ML, vulnerability management, databases, cryptography, threat management, and web application security.
- Technical Tools: Nessus, Kali, NMap, and other security testing tools.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Professional communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
- Business acumen and ability to assess strategic and operational risks.
- Excellent report writing, analytical, and presentation skills.
