- Management of team leaders, schools’ marketers, and student advisors.
- Setting targets, managing performance and activities against these targets.
- Ensuring targets are met and profitability maintained.
- Planning areas of improvement and development.
- Develop and manage direct marketing activities to support lead generation.
- Ensuring inbound leads are actioned within the prescribed timelines.
- Maintain a talent pipeline of sales personnel, including writing vacancy advertisements and liaising with HR staff.
- Organizing staffing, including shift patterns and the number of staff required to meet demand.
- Monitor, analyse and plan improvements to team performance.
- Able to train, coach and mentor your team and potentially other team members in the business.
- Effectively performance manage the team when required, which includes both informal and formal methods of performance management.
- Produce daily reporting dashboards via the system or using excel on the following:
- Productivity.
- Sales Pipeline coupled that ties into the latest forecast.
- Work Activities:
- Liaising with supervisors, team leaders, operatives and third parties to gather information and resolve issues.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry developments.
- Monitoring random customer engagements to improve quality, minimize errors and track operative performance.
- Reviewing the performance of staff, identifying training needs and planning training sessions.
- Recording statistics, user rates and the performance levels of the team and preparing reports to provide feedback to exco.
- Forecasting and analysing data against budget figures on a weekly and/or monthly basis.
- Improving performance by raising efficiency and sourcing new equipment to enable efficiency.
- Customer service:
- Ensuring the delivery of high standards of service to customers.
- Ensuring that you can handle the most complex customer complaints or enquiries in a calm, solution driven manner.
- Ensuring that the sales team have the knowledge and skills to answer customers enquiries, as well as when to request for support or escalate problems quickly and effectively.
- Team Leader and Agent Performance:
- Recruiting, Training, Managing, and Monitoring agents so that they have the skills and knowledge to meet customer service or outbound sales objectives.
- Training programs must ensure that agents have good product and service knowledge, as well as customer handling skills.
- Assess team leaders and agents’ performance.
- Analysing multiple data point to support team performance management
- Resources:
- Ensure resources are used efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Ensure the right level of resources are available to meet customer demand and targets.
- Reporting:
- Providing reports on sales performance.
- Report on operational costs associated to sales activities. Include comparisons to forecast and budget.
- Report on call volumes and productivity.
- Training:
- Onboarding of new agents:
- Understand company offering.
- Understand systems and processes.
- Development of existing agents and supervisors in line with clear development plans.
- Ensuring all team members are fully trained on the latest promotions being offered.
- Drive continuous agent and team development.
- 3+ years Sales Experience.
- 3+ years of Training and Mentoring experience.
- Matric and Diploma or Degree.
- Dependent on qualification and experience.
