MVIA is seeking an experienced and dedicated Accounts and Collections Manager to join our team. This key role is responsible for managing the debtors and creditors on our policy administration system.The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of financial services experience, with a strong preference for those skilled in Cardinal CIMS, along with proven managerial experience and a track record of leading and developing teams.Responsibilities:
  • Manage all financial aspects related to policy accounts, ensuring invoices are correctly raised
  • Monitor and control the policy administration system to process payments accurately and reconcile accounts
  • Oversee unallocated funds and outstanding debts, ensuring full accountability
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve account management efficiency
  • Maintain rigorous reconciliation processes to guarantee financial accuracy
  • Analyze financial data to spot trends and suggest improvements
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal financial policies
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of account management professionals, driving departmental success
  • Work closely with underwriting, claims, and other departments to resolve account issues
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports and analysis for senior management
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (essential)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial services, with strong knowledge of policy administration processes
  • Proven experience managing debtors and creditors on a policy administration system
  • Cardinal CIMS experience is highly advantageous
  • At least 2 years’ experience managing and developing a team
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience managing financial contracts, both term and monthly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
