- Identify and visit new prospective clients, including restaurants, hotels, caterers, cafes, schools, and franchise groups.
- Conduct face-to-face meetings to present and promote catering equipment solutions.
- Drive the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of new opportunities aligned with company targets.
- Actively follow up on leads provided and independently generate new leads.
- Maintain and build relationships with existing clients and potential key accounts.
- Track progress of sales according to targets alongside Sales Manager.
- Build strong, sustainable relationships with new and potential clients.
- Understand client needs and recommend suitable equipment solutions.
- Provide product knowledge, demonstrations, and consultations.
- Issue accurate quotes timeously.
- Manage all correspondence and follow ups timeously.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure client satisfaction.
- Maintain records of visits, interactions, and client requirements.
- Track sales metrics, conversion rates, and customer engagement statistics.
- Submit weekly reports to the Sales Manager detailing visits, feedback, sales pipeline/leads, secured sales and potential opportunities.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports with insights and suggestions for improvements.
- Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activity, and product developments.
- Analyse internal and external trends to identify new opportunities or underperforming areas.
- Support sales team across all sales divisions. and colleagues where possible.
- Engage in team activities, training, and meetings.
- Assist colleagues with administration and/or sales where necessary.

- 3–5 years of experience in a sales role, ideally in catering equipment or a related industry
- Proven experience in business development and territory management
- Valid South African driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
- Excellent computer skills (Emails, Word, Excel)
- Fluent in English; Afrikaans or an African language is advantageous
- Further education in Sales/Marketing or Hospitality is a plus
