Job Summary We are a small accounting services firm seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Bookkeeper to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with numbers, accounting software, solving problems, and supporting small and medium-sized businesses across various industries. Key Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers for multiple clients • Process invoices, payments, receipts, and journals • Reconcile bank accounts, debtors, and creditors • Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy • Prepare VAT return schedules and assist with statutory submissions • Assist with providing information for monthly management accounts, Annual Financial Statements and year-end Audits. • Maintain an orderly accounting filing and recording system • Maintain the chart of accounts • Liaise with clients professionally and provide timely support Requirements: • Minimum 10 years' bookkeeping experience • Minimum Certificate in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or equivalent qualification • Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Xero, Pastel, Sage, QuickBooks, Zoho) • Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications • Attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills • Ability to manage multiple client files and meet deadlines • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Verifiable recent references.
