About:The Maintenance Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring plant and equipment efficiency, reducing equipment downtime, and continuously improving and upgrading machinery and equipment within the plant. The engineer will work closely with top management, and cross-functional teams to ensure production and project objectives are met with efficiency and high quality.Key Responsibilities:a) Managing the maintenance and tooling area.b) Managing hand/power tools, injection moulds and critical spares inventory keeping to ISO:90001 standards.c) Maintaining and repairing all equipment, tooling and infrastructure on site.d) Developing and maintaining maintenance schedules for all departments.e) Keeping records of all tooling/equipment faults, including reason for fault and steps taken to restore to standard.f) Work with production and project teams on all new tooling and equipment brought in for new projects.g) Managing waste movement within the factory as well as waste removal in line with company standards and certifications.h) Continuous improvement by driving efficiency through lean practices, 5S, waste reduction and process improvements.i) Enforce health and safety policies, ensure team members adhere to all workplace safety regulations.Key Competencies:· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills· Attention to detail and data-driven mindset· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills· Ability to work cross-functionally and drive change· Strong ability to learn independentlyRequirements:· Mechanical Engineering Degree/Diploma· 0-1 year working experience· Valid driver’s license· Own transport· Live in DurbanThe post appeared first on .
