- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including cost analysis, pricing strategies, and profit margins for various poultry products
- Monitor financial performance against budgetary goals and provide insights for improvement
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives
- Assess market trends, analyze competitors, and contribute to the development of strategic plans to expand market share
- Manage the budgeting process, providing accurate forecasts and financial models to support decision-making
- Identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements across departments
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to evaluate pricing structures, promotions, and sales strategies to maximize revenue
- Drive initiatives to enhance profitability while maintaining a balance between sales growth and cost control
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards
- Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, offering insights and recommendations
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant certification preferred.
- Proven track record of no less than 8 yrs in a finance management role within the poultry industry or a related field
- Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards within the poultry industry
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Extensive experience in FMCG
- Strategically analysing and tracking the rapidly emerging formal trade in Zambia and positioning to the company to maximize opportunities from these trends
