With a strong footprint across South Africa, they are known for reliability, professionalism, and long-term client partnerships.Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Field Technician to join the Gauteng team. This is a senior, client-facing role combining advanced technical problem-solving with leadership responsibilities. You will manage field deployments, resolve escalated issues, and mentor junior technicians, while ensuring professional service delivery at all times.Key Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced on-site and remote support for servers, networks, VoIP, cloud, and workstations.
- Act as the primary escalation point for junior/intermediate technicians.
- Lead infrastructure rollouts (servers, firewalls, Hyper-V, wireless networks, Office 365, Odoo, VoIP).
- Configure and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise networking equipment.
- Prepare technical documentation and deliver end-user training.
- Mentor and support junior team members skills development.
- Minimum 5+ years IT support experience, with at least 2+ years in a senior/field technician role.
- Strong expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V, networking (firewalls, VLANs, VPNs), and Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with Linux, Odoo ERP, and VoIP systems (advantageous).
- Must own a reliable vehicle (essential) travel and fuel reimbursed via logs and timesheets.
- Valid drivers licence.
- Strong references; full background checks will be conducted.
