- Provide technical input during the development of solar installation projects.
- Assist with accurate quoting based on site specifications, product selection, and technical requirements.
- Ensure all necessary stock, equipment, and materials are prepared before a project begins.
- Oversee procurement and maintain accurate stock records for all ongoing projects.
- Manage the installation process for residential, commercial, and agricultural projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion.
- Coordinate with clients and subcontractors to meet all project specifications.
- Monitor project progress and report to senior management regularly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site, and collaborate with the Health and Safety Officer to keep site safety files updated.
- Implement quality control measures and conduct post-installation inspections.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates and resolving escalations or complaints.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Oversee the technical support team, monitoring their performance and ensuring timely resolution of client issues.
- Manage internal and external installation teams, including performance evaluation, timekeeping, and work allocation.
- Conduct employee performance reviews and handle employee disputes or disciplinary actions in consultation with HR.
- Develop and implement training programs for installation teams.
- Stay updated on the latest solar technologies and trends.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the solar, renewable energy, or electrical contracting industries.
- Proven track record of managing residential, commercial, and agricultural installation projects.
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems and electrical installations.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Experience in leading teams and managing personnel.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and financial acumen skills.
- Valid drivers license and vehicle.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
