- 36 years experience in a Data Engineering role.
- Strong SQL and database expertise (MS SQL Server, MS Fabric Onelake).
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, MS Fabric).
- Skilled in data modelling and system integration (REST APIs, direct DB access, file processing).
- Understanding of Power BI data modelling (Power Query, DAX).
- Experience with both operational and financial data is a plus.
- Exposure to logistics or asset-heavy industries is advantageous.
- Governance or master data management experience is a bonus.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Automate data ingestion from multiple sources APIs, databases, flat files.
- Develop and maintain both relational and dimensional data models.
- Standardise measures and business logic across Finance and Operations.
- Support Finance BI (financial performance, profitability) and Operational BI (transport, warehouse, maintenance KPIs).
- Maintain a single source of truth for shared metrics and dimensions.
- Integrate with ERP, TMS, LMS, and finance systems.
- Enforce governance standards and maintain a centralised data catalogue.
- Own pipeline stability and ensure data availability without downtime.
