Their solutions cover the entire spectrum of payment operations, including origination, information retention, and processing, making them an indispensable partner in the financial technology sector.Job Location: JohannesburgJob Type: Full time l HybridJob Summary:The Business Development Manager at our client plays a pivotal role in managing existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and market expansion. This position offers the flexibility to either mentor a junior BD Manager or collaborate with a seasoned BD Manager to drive sales and business development initiatives.Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred) - optional dependent on experience
  • Demonstrated success in business development and sales roles within the software development industry, more specifically in the banking and financial services sector.
  • Experience in the Fintech Industry
  • Experience in the EFT Clearance Settlement Environment
  • Deep understanding of payments
  • Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker
  • Collaborator
  • Strong business skills and decision-making ability.
  • Open to regular travel to other African countries for professional purposes.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the banking and financial services utilities
  • Develop and deliver on sales plans to achieve business goals and targets
  • Work closely with the Commercial Director.
  • Conduct market research
  • Analyse industry trends to identify potential clients.
  • Carry out the sales process from lead identification to deal closure.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports.
  • Work together with the support team to create and present proposals
  • Represent our client at client engagements and industry conferences etc
