
Senior Butchery Manager - Germiston (Delthorn Butcheries)

- Oversee daily operations of the butchery, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality production.
- Manage and supervise butchery staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Ensure all meat products are cut, prepared, and displayed according to company standards.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage supplier relationships to maintain inventory.
- Control costs and reduce wastage while maintaining profitability.
- Develop and implement strategies to boost sales and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure proper pricing, packaging, and labeling of meat products.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional manner.
- Conduct regular quality checks on products and equipment maintenance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in butchery management.
- Extensive knowledge of meat cuts, deboning, portioning, and processing techniques and Health and Hygiene.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Physically fit and capable of handling heavy meat products.

- Certification in Butchery Management or Meat Processing (advantageous but not required).
- Experience in a retail or wholesale butchery environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
