Grower Accountant / Cost Accountant

• Ensure financial information to our growers is timely and accurately prepared

• Evaluate standard cost with moving average costs – analyse variances

• Verifying all income and ensuring all credits/claims are processed

• Prepare/calculate grower advances and submit for payment

• Prepare weekly cost reconciliations, per commodity group, by creating, review and maintain all sales & cost related transactions

• Preparing weekly payment schedule

• Maintaining and distributing weekly reports to the sales team

• Analyze grower revenue and costs through a production season

• Essential relevant Financial / Cost accounting qualification

• 2 / 3 years of cost accounting experience

• Sound understanding of accounting principles

• Knowledge of agriculture practices and an understanding of challenges in the industry

• Inventory, Production, cost experience

• Advance excel skills for reporting & calculating purposes using large volumes of data
