Salary: R 8000 - R 12 000We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Bookkeeper to join our client's team and assist in maintaining their financial records accurately. As a Junior Bookkeeper, you will work closely with the rest of the team to ensure all financial transactions related to property management, including levy statements and body corporate actions, are properly recorded, reconciled, and documented. - Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for property management activities, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, levy statements, and body corporate actions.
- Process invoices, payments, and expenses related to property management promptly.
- Coordinate with property managers to ensure proper recording and reconciliation of financial transactions.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures specific to property management activities.
- Prepare financial reports and summaries related to property management for review by senior management.
- Support the accounting team in various administrative tasks related to property management as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
- Prior experience or internship in bookkeeping or accounting preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in the property industry and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
