Reports to: Chief Operations Officer
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-17:30, plus one Saturday per month (8:00-13:00)
As our HR Officer, you'll be the driving force behind talent optimization and operational excellence. This role combines strategic HR leadership with hands-on operational support, making you integral to the company's continued growth and success.What You'll Do Talent Acquisition & Development
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes with a focus on cultural fit and high-caliber candidates
  • Develop comprehensive job descriptions and competency-based interview frameworks
  • Design and implement thorough onboarding programs
  • Ensure specialized compliance training (NCA accreditation for sales teams, annual IDA compliance for F&I teams)
Performance Excellence
  • Create and manage KPI frameworks aligned with business objectives
  • Drive monthly performance reviews and quarterly assessments
  • Implement reward and recognition programs
  • Handle performance management and disciplinary processes
Operational HR Management
  • Oversee complete payroll administration using SAGE
  • Manage monthly payroll tracking including loans, benefits, incentives, and adjustments
  • Ensure timely commission processing and distribution
  • Handle all statutory compliance and reporting requirements
Employee Experience
  • Coordinate wellness programs and quarterly financial training sessions
  • Plan and execute annual functions and employee recognition events
  • Manage employee welfare initiatives and life event celebrations
  • Foster positive labor relations and resolve workplace issues
Strategic Compliance
  • Ensure full compliance with BCEA, LRA, and MIBCO requirements
  • Manage relationships with service providers for BBBEE, skills development, and employment equity reporting
  • Coordinate health and safety committees and legislative compliance
  • Submit all Department of Labour documentation within required timeframes
What We're Looking For Essential Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in HR or related field
  • Minimum 3+ years operational experience with progression to HR focus
  • Proven track record in talent engagement and operational excellence
  • Advanced computer literacy, particularly Excel and automotive platforms
  • SAGE payroll expertise
  • Experience in corporate dealer group/multi-franchise environment
