Our Client, a prominent name in the Insurance Industry, is seeking to employ an experienced Short Term Underwriter (Personal and Commercial Lines) to their team based in Johannesburg (West Rand).Requirements:
  • Matric
  • Full Short-Term Insurance Qualification or currently studying towards it.
  • Date of first appointment on the FSCA Representative Register with license categories in Short-Term Insurance: Personal and Commercial Lines.
  • Minimum 3 years of underwriting or policy administration experience.
  • Driver’s license and own transport.
  • TIAL system knowledge will be advantageous.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
  • Assist clients with all documentation and short-term insurance cover requirements, from quotation to finalisation of cover.
  • Ensure all required documentation is followed up and completed.
  • Validate endorsements and amendments on policies, re-insurance requirements, and cover.
  • Check that instructions given to insurers are correctly reflected on policy schedules received.
  • Handle all broker enquiries and provide appropriate solution processes.
  • Draft cover confirmation letters for distribution to clients.
  • Record document flow on the electronic filing system.
  • Attend to policy renewals and acceptances.
