Maintains and improves machines and equipment to increase or maintain a high level of reliability, availability, cost efficiency and performance and customer relations, and teamwork.Repairs, maintains, inspects, and commissions the LS170, LS190, LS312 and Mercury equipment at customer site.Reports, captures and documents results at end of every shift to Foreman, Control Room, and team.Responsible for planning, conducting, and maintaining tools and equipment for service work.Supports the customer’s product/equipment/processes by suggesting possible improvements.Provides technical support to the sales team.Provides problem solving to customer and team.Has the ability to produce positive results in sales-client interventions.Guides colleagues in service/operational methods and tools.Shares own knowledge to enable colleagues to expand their knowledge.Minimum Requirements:Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualificationTrade Certificate of Competence in an Electrician, Diesel Mechanic, or Millwright disciplineMinimum 2 years’ experience working as Field Service Technician with proven competence in mining equipment (underground)Basic computer literacyEnglish proficiencyValid driver's licenseFull physical & medical certificate to work in mining environmentOwns a set of toolsExperience in:Fault finding in hydraulic, electrical, drive train, and diesel offeringsHow to applyPlease apply online through Workday (ESS) or access the Sandvik websiteApplications close: 27 May 2024Please note that, should you not receive any response from us within 14 days, your application has been unsuccessful; we however thank you for your interest in our company.
