Job Description:We are searching for a General Artisan to join our Sugar team within our Foods Division. This individual will report to the Foreman.The primary objective of this position is to render general Civil Maintenance, Construction of New Buildings, Water Reticulation, and deal with all Plumbing related work for all clients of Civil Engineering Services Department (CESD).Minimum Requirements:Trade Test Certificate (Carpentry and/or Plumbing), a minimum of N3 certificate and proof of the successful completion of a formal Institutionalised training programme. (PLEASE ATTACH PROOF OF THE INSTITUTIONALISED TRAINING PROGRAMME)
Practical work experience as an Artisan of at least 3 – 5 years post trade in carpentry and/or basic plumbing maintenance.
A Wireman’s licence would be an added advantage.
SAP experience will be an added advantage.
Supervisory/Managerial experience would be an added advantage.
A valid Code 08 driver’s license is compulsory.
Must be able to work overtime and perform standby duties as required.
Candidate must be a South African citizen.Duties & Responsibilities:Work programming and scheduling in terms of daily program of work orders with foreman,
Provide efficient technical and maintenance service including basic plumbing,
Provide client orientation, communication and feedback to foreman,
Effective resource management with regard to labour, tools and materials,
Maintain administration records and labour recovery,
