Senior Accountant

• Supervise and initiate processing of client information, receipts, and invoices.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset register and reconcile cash control accounts.
• Process journal entries and distinguish between finance and operating leases.
• Analyse trial balance for errors and deviations.
• Produce draft financials and working paper files.
• Prepare tax calculations and statutory returns.
• Liaise with clients regarding tax payments and returns.
• Review monthly files and management representation letters.
• Aid and training to junior and intermediate accountants.
• Set up accounting systems for clients and ensure compliance with quality management and HR policies.

• Matric with Accounting at a Higher Grade.
• BCom Degree or equivalent with Accounting III and Taxation.
• Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles OR more than 6 years of accounting experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Pastel, CaseWare, and Xero.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience in auditing and conducting independent reviews.
• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including PAYE, UIF, SDL, and VAT.
• Ability to supervise and train junior and intermediate accountants effectively.

• R25000 – R33 000 CTC per month depending on qualifications and experience.
