With the increasing scarcity of water in the Western Cape and country in general, we anticipate growing interest in our services for many years to come.You will be reporting to the Operations Manager of the company. As a Qualified Plumbing Team Lead, you will need strong organisational and technical skills and be able to conduct yourself professionally in conversation with customers.Key ResponsibilitiesManagementCoordinating system servicing at various job sites.Ensuring installations and services are carried out with accuracy, efficiency and that finished product is of high quality.Liaising with customers and prospective customers to arrange date/time for visits, water samples, and servicing/maintenance.Be accountable for the behaviour and workmanship of Ground 2 Tap staff under your leadership whilst on-site.Managing 3rd party electrical and plumbing contractors on-site.TechnicalPractical build work including PVC, HDPE & plumbing pipework & fittings.Electrical wiring - including the wiring of pumps, relays & float switches.Build and installation of water filtration systems.Commissioning of water treatment systems after installation is completed, including: measuring and balancing pH levels, measuring for metal content, handover of system to customer, including explanation of system operation.Will be required to diagnose faults and operational issues with existing systems based on phone call or message from the customer.Technical troubleshooting and diagnosing faults on-site.Client SupportTake client calls and manage relationship with clients.First line of support over the telephone.Second line of support via site visit.Key RequirementsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong administrative, supervisory, and time-management skills.Technical proficiency and interest in the following fields: plumbing, materials, construction, joinery.Ability to work on several projects at a time, visiting and organising multiple sites and customers daily.Analytical approach to problems and ability to solve problems independently with tools at your disposal.Prepared to work 45 hours per week, and/or outside of typical working hours.Experience / Education:PREFERRED: Plumbing Red Seal Certificate or PIRB licenceValid drivers’ license and have own transport.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: NEGOTIABLECape Town, Western Cape (RESIDENT – Required)Job Type: Full-timeSalary: R17 000,00 - R25 000,00 per monthAbility to commute/relocate:Wynberg, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:Plumbing: 2 years (Required)Electrical: 2 years (Preferred)Language:English to a Proficient level (Preferred)License/Certification:Drivers Licence (Required)Electrical Certification (Preferred)Plumbing Red Seal Certificate or PIRB licence (Preferred)
