Our client in the Clearing and Forwarding Sector is looking for a Senior Entry Clerk to join their team in JHB with CARGOWISE EXPERIENCE AS A MUST!Job descriptionPreparation and Submission of Customs Entries (All Modes & Directions Sea / Air / Import / Export)
Frame "paperless" entries.
Customs Tariff Consulting Internally and Externally
Resolving Customs Stops, Detentions etc...
Managing Customs Refunds
Must be able to Quality control your own entry and entries assigned to you for checking.. pick up errors and reject files or approve entry for EDI to customs
Overtime on Sundays will be compulsory (when required)Applicant's profile1. Matriculated with a minimum of Maths & English
2. Proficient in English
3. A minimum of 5 years' experience in Customs Entries
4. In-depth Knowledge of the Customs Tariff
5. Feel comfortable dealing with Clients on the Phone
6. Able to work unsupervised and fit into a team
7. Able to work under pressure
8. Competent and Accurate with administration work
9. Computer Literate with Ship Shape and NextGen an advantage
