External Sales Representative

• Visit customers, sell merchandise, and meet sales targets.
• Provide weekly call reports and identify customer needs.
• Offer advice on product selection, pricing, and care.
• Process orders and handle replacements for discontinued items.
• Demonstrate product ranges, promote specials, and upsell additional products.
• Update and sell sample books, open customer accounts, and complete partnership forms.
• Follow policies and procedures, manage budget, and attend sales meetings.
• Submit weekly sales, market, and competitor activity reports.
• Identify and pursue sales opportunities, attend industry events, and increase client base.
• Manage back-order list, handle issues and queries, and provide regular feedback.
• Flag operational problems and complaints to Sales/Area Manager.
• Ensure customer expectations are met and collect feedback on special orders.
• Support payment collection, resolve account and payment queries, and follow up on payments.
• Ensure accuracy in cash-on-delivery transactions.

• National Senior Certificate.
• Certificate or Diploma in sales and marketing is an advantage.
• Driver’s License Code B.
• Languages: Fluent in English and one other SA language (area dependent)
• Minimum work experience of 2 years sales experience - retail or wholesale environment preferred, exposure to an interior design environment is an advantage.
• Skills and Knowledge (job specific): Sales, Product Knowledge, Negotiation, Presentation Skills, Database Management, Market Research, Campaign Implementation, Branding, Public Relations & Publicity, Report Writing, MS Office.

• R15 000 Basic per month.
