- Collaborate in the development of talent management strategies, including career paths and succession planning.
- Develop and manage the skills development budget for all regions, ensuring optimal utilisation of financial resources and maintenance costs within the budget.
- Ensure compliance with training and development policies and related regulations.
- Oversee the Oracle Learning Management System and implement a quality management system for skills development practices.
- Design and develop relevant learning materials for training events and e-learning purposes.
- Lead the execution of campaigns to promote awareness of laboratory careers and bursaries.
- Provide ongoing skills development for all staff in accordance with regional and national skills development plans, including supervision of sourcing of training providers to ensure NQF and SAQA accreditation.
- Design, implement, and monitor leadership interventions to enhance the skills of senior managers, middle managers, and supervisors.
- Administer training interventions and maintain accurate records of training programs.
- Conduct annual Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and coordinate workplace skills plans (WSP) and annual training reports (ATR) to ensure compliance.
- Ensure WSP is loaded on HWSETA annually.Minimum requirements & key competency:-3 year diploma in Human Resources/Training and Development or equivalent qualifications.-Registration with ETDPSETA (advantageous).-Skills Development Facilitator certification.-7 years experience within a Training environment.-5 years experience in a Managerial position.-Knowledge of policies and procedures.-Knowledge of Organisational behaviour principles.-Knowledge of skills related legislation, e.g. SDA, SDL, SAQA, etc.-Knowledge of skills development.-Leadership and Management skills.-Customer service orientation skills.-Strong written and verbal communication.-Interpersonal skills.-Planning and organising skills.-Strategic thinking and planning.-Analytical and problem-solving skills.-Decision-making skills.-Computer skills.
