Industry: Paper & Pulp / ManufacturingKey Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the risk department business plan, including personnel, assets, equipment, vehicles, and insurance.
- Set KPIs for team members, conduct performance reviews, and foster continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements through audits, corrective actions, and risk assessments.
- Maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) and lead ISO certification efforts.
- Oversee emergency preparedness, including drills, crisis management, and employee training.
- Implement safety behaviour programs and promote a culture of accountability and risk awareness.
- Liaise with insurers, legal advisers, and internal stakeholders on risk and compliance matters.
- Monitor occupational hygiene exposures and recommend continuous improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Environment, or a related field.
- 5–8 years post-graduation experience in SHE, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and licensing processes.
- Strong computer literacy (MS Office Suite).
- Experience in a manufacturing plant is essential.
