- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Trade qualification with extensive experience
- Expertise in boiler and mixer plants, including installations and commissioning
- Strong planning skills to ensure optimal equipment performance

- Ideally, a National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Mechanical trade will be considered subject to a minimum of 5 years of experience in Maintenance Planning of Boilers.
- Certified maintenance and reliability professionals - advantageous.
- 4-5 years of maintenance planning experience, specifically preventative maintenance.
- 4 - 5 Years experience on hydraulic equipment, boilers, and mixers.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and planning.
- ERP experience would be advantageous.
As a Maintenance Planner, your key responsibilities will include:Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for heavy machinery.
- Process, prioritise, and issue work orders with detailed documentation and a clear scope of work.
- Review completed orders for quality assurance.
- Maintain strategic stock levels for critical spare parts and high-wear components.
- Coordinate procurement for cost-effective material sourcing.
- Record maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment modifications.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and keep technical manuals up to date.
- Perform root cause analysis for major equipment failures.
- Provide actionable insights for design and process improvements.
- Work closely with production, quality, engineering, and safety teams to align maintenance efforts with operational goals.
- Track and report on maintenance KPIs such as equipment availability and MTBF.
- Prepare monthly performance reports and suggest improvements.
