Job SummaryFast growing medium sized accounting and tax firm in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is looking to employ a Bookkeeper or Accountant.The firm is looking for a candidate with experience in a firm environment that is comfortable managing a portfolio of clients, looking after their bookkeeping, accounting, and statutory needs. An accounting qualification would be beneficial, however not a requirement as the client values experience in a similar role highly.Duties and Responsibilities:

Data capturing on Pastel/Accfin (secretarial program).
Preparation of financial statements on Draftworx.
Submission of tax returns for individuals/trusts and companies.
Calculation of VAT/PAYE/IRP5 reconciliations/Compensation Commissioner and submission of returns.
Ad hoc accounting and tax work
Client interaction and relations.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualified by Experience, Matric.
Degree, Certificate, Diploma in Accounting would be an added benefit.
Bookkeeping or Accounting experience within a firm environment.
Experience with Draftworx, Caseware would be advantageous.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.

Remuneration:

R200,000 to R300,000 pa ctc, negotiable on experience.
