
SHEQ Specialist - Port Elizabeth

- Ensure company compliance with OHS Act, NEMA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, internal audits, and risk assessments.
- Facilitate incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Lead and coordinate SHEQ training, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.
- Monitor SHEQ performance indicators and submit monthly reports.
- Maintain and improve the Integrated SHEQ Management System.
- Assist with external audits and ensure audit readiness at all times.
- Promote a strong safety-first culture throughout the organization.
- Matric / Grade 12.
- National Diploma or Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- SAMTRAC / NEBOSH certification highly advantageous.
- ISO 45001, 14001 & 9001 internal auditor qualification required.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a SHEQ role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of South African SHEQ legislation and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
