
Clothing and Production Planner | Pinetown

- Diploma or Degree in Clothing Production, Fashion Merchandising, or Supply Chain Management (preferred)
- 3-4 years' experience in clothing production coordination or planning (CMT, retail supplier, or fashion brand environment)
- Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes and timelines
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel essential) and production tracking software
- Own vehicle Advantageous
-Allocate production capacity to CMTs (Cut, Make & Trim units) and monitor workload distribution
-Ensure raw materials and trims are ordered, delivered, and available before production start dates
-Prepare weekly updates on production progress and any potential risks to deadlinesCollaboration:-Act as the main liaison between design, sales, production, quality control, and logistics teams
-Communicate order specifications, timelines, and quality standards to internal teams and suppliers
-Monitor progress and proactively address production delays or material shortagesQuality and Compliance:-Coordinate pre-production sample approvals with the design and sales team
-Work with quality control to ensure garments meet required specifications before shipment
-Ensure compliance with client standards, fabric testing, and labeling requirementsPricing Strategy:-Contributing to the development of pricing strategies to maximize profitability
-Prepare and update detailed cost sheets for each style, including fabric consumption, trims, labour, overheads, and margins
-Negotiate pricing with suppliers to achieve cost targets while maintaining quality
