- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in trucks, trailers, and commercial vehicles
- Install, maintain, and repair lighting systems, including LED conversions
- Work with trailer brake controllers, ABS systems, and air brake electrical components
- Troubleshoot and repair charging systems, alternators, and battery management systems
- Install and maintain auxiliary power systems and inverters
- Perform electrical system inspections and safety checks
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Install aftermarket electrical accessories and equipment
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and regulations
- Valid electrician certification or equivalent trade qualification
- Minimum 3-5 years experience as an auto electrician
- Essential: Proven experience with truck and trailer electrical systems
- Knowledge of 12V and 24V electrical systems
- Experience with commercial vehicle lighting systems
- Understanding of trailer electrical connections
- Familiarity with air brake electrical components
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and multimeters
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license
