Tool Setter

- Confirm there are no out of tolerance conditions
- Follow production process and report any necessary deviations
- Adhere to tool maintenance schedule
- Maintain sharp cutting tools in all machines
- Program tool offsets and assist with CNC program offsets if required
- Do cutting tool setting
- Machine process set ups as required – clock fixtures
- Maintain cutting tool stock levels and back up tooling
- Comply with SHE and Quality systems, policies and procedures
- Ensure department tooling budgets are managed and controlled
- Grade 12 with Maths
- Fluent in English
- CNC operating experience
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of quality systems
- Be able to manage resources
- Ability to understand technical terms
- Ability to write reports
- Understand root cause and solve problems effectively
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Precision measurement and inspection skills
