Senior Electrical Engineer -Solar (Gauteng)

• Oversee and manage the Engineering Department.
• Lead the engineering aspect of solar PV projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to design specifications, budgetary constraints, and project timelines.
• Spearhead the design and development of solar PV systems, overseeing the creation of electrical schematics, equipment specifications, and layout plans.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex electrical engineering issues, including system optimization, grid integration, and performance enhancement.
• Establish and enforce quality assurance protocols and standards.
• Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to understand project requirements, address technical inquiries, and ensure client satisfaction.

• BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering.
• PrEng registered (Advantage)

• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on renewable energy and solar PV systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and simulation tools (e.g., Helioscope, PVsyst, PVSol).
• Proven track record of successfully managing teams and leading complex projects from concept to completion.
• Proven track record of commissioning large BESS (battery energy storage) systems including generator integration.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, design standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to solar energy projects.
