- BSc Agriculture Degree, specializing in Agronomy, with Agricultural Economy as a major subject.
- Practical experience in farming will be to the applicants advantage.
- Computer literacy i.e., MS Word and Excel and experience in computerized accounting packages e.g. SAP system.
- Create and maintain excellent relationships between the company and important service providers, the producers of seed and other relevant resources, and to promote the production of these resources.
- Supply support and solutions to the producers to ensure that their business or enterprise is running as efficiently and effectively as possible.
- Ensure that the producers sell their product to the company.
- Research and keep up to date regarding commodities produced, production methods, market tendencies, opportunities, developments and new trends in the agricultural sector.
- Facilitate and coordinate the flow of resources (mostly canola and maize germ) between the suppliers/producers and the company.
- Ensure that all storage, loading and offloading equipment are regularly checked and serviced to ensure optimal performance and meets the food and safety standards of the company.
- Ensure that the products are stored per procedure of the company
- Inventory control of the seed and meal is a key focus and deviations will be reported daily to the Agricultural Resource Manager.
- Ensure that the seed, oil and meal that are being loaded or offloaded meets the quality standards of the company.
- Ensure that all trucks (seed, oil and meal) are loaded and offloaded according to the load sheets and that all relevant documents are completed.
- Take ownership of the premises housekeeping and cleaning according to food safety standards, routine inspections and reporting of non-conformance in this regard to the food safety team.
- Arrange for effective waste removal.
