
Head of Local Business (Fresh Produce Processing)

- Lead and manage cross-functional teams including procurement, production, site operations, development, finance, and sales.
- Build and oversee a high-performing RSA sales force, including key account, field, hospitality, and direct delivery teams.
- Manage operations of a major production facility and direct delivery services for the hospitality sector.
- Ensure compliance with BBBEE legislation and internal structural requirements.
- Develop and execute annual operating plans and budgets, delivering accurate forecasts and performance updates.
- Represent the local business in senior internal meetings and stakeholder engagements.
- Oversee procurement and supply chain operations to ensure optimal service levels and product quality.
- Drive strategic customer account management and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and retailers.
- Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and complex stakeholder groups.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with tactical execution capabilities.
- Extensive experience (8+ years' experience) in sales and account management, preferably in the produce or chilled foods industry.
- Deep understanding of financial structures and P&L management.
- Hands-on experience in food production environments and process improvement.
- Project management expertise, especially in launching products to major retailers or foodservice accounts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel and PowerBI skills are advantageous.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills across cultures and settings.
- Willingness to travel internationally; a valid driver's license is required.
