The Opportunity
We’re looking for a customer-focused, tech-savvy Application Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for our clients, troubleshooting issues, resolving queries, and supporting the configuration and smooth operation of our software. If you have a solid grasp of SQL and are eager to work with industry-leading solutions, this role is for you.Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support for critical business applications.
- Troubleshoot issues related to data accuracy, user access, and performance.
- Use Microsoft SQL and MySQL to query databases and assist with reporting needs.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and implementation teams to resolve escalated issues.
- Assist clients with basic application setup and workflow configurations.
- Maintain and update the internal knowledge base for support procedures.
- Support software testing, deployments, and upgrades.
- Identify recurring issues and propose improvements to enhance system reliability.
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English (written and spoken) – non-negotiable.
- 1–2 years in application support, IT support, or a customer-facing software role.
- Basic to intermediate SQL skills (Microsoft SQL & MySQL).
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Jira.
- Exposure to the supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or warehousing sectors is a plus.
- Knowledge of ERP or WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
- Understanding of software deployment processes.
