- Implement strategic and operational plans to support store objectives.
- Ensure merchandise availability through inventory oversight and supplier coordination.
- Develop and apply pricing strategies and marketing initiatives based on market trends.
- Analyze operational and financial data to drive performance improvements.
- Maintain store security, safety, and cleanliness in compliance with regulations.
- Schedule and manage store staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Operate within established procedures and controls to ensure full compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Identify and monitor risks, maintaining relevant documentation and reporting concerns as needed.
- Promote a culture of health, safety, and environmental awareness across the store.
- Foster strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Represent the business in meetings with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Address and resolve service-related issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure performance contracts are in place and appraisals are conducted regularly.
- Support team development through training and clear performance objectives.
- Handle employee relations matters fairly and proactively.
- Participate in budget planning and manage expenditure in line with approved budgets.
- Monitor spending, identify areas for cost savings, and implement efficiency improvements.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and reporting procedures.
- Diploma in Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing (NQF 6)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing (NQF 7)
- At least 5 years’ experience in a retail sales or marketing environment, including 3 years in a supervisory or management role
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and relevant business systems
- Strong understanding of retail operations, inventory management, and financial processes
