- Create illustrations that are used in technical documentation, Parts Catalogues / Spare Parts Catalogues
- Re-work engineering drawings into clear annotated graphics (either as 2D or as 3D illustrations)
- EPC Compiling
- Extract parts lists from the engineering drawings / Daproh / Vendors and in-put the information into a logically structured list
- Extract / re-work supplied parts list into logically structured lists (approved template)
- Compile catalogues using logical structure according to the following Specifications:
- S1000D
- MIL-PRF-38807C
- Develop and compile new Spare Parts Catalogues / Lists from supplied Quotations received from The company
- Continually update existing Parts Catalogues / Lists from data received from The company
- Incorporate Supplier / Vendor information into the Company Catalogues
- Develop and compile new Structured Parts Catalogues / Lists
- Continually update existing Parts Catalogues / Lists and Incorporate Superseded data and structures
- Incorporate Supplier / Vendor information into the Company Catalogues
- Apply contract requirements, technical illustrating specifications and use illustration software and hardware to create technical illustrations
- Incorporate Supplier / Vendor information into the Company Catalogues
- Maintain content of illustration database
- Maintain content of parts list database
- Support Technical Documentation team with manual illustration requirements
- Matric
- Technical Illustration Qualification / Experience
- Communication Skills - ability to speak read and write in English
- Positive Attitude - eager to take on new projects and to continually adapt and modernise documents
- Consistent - patient, stick to procedures
- Very high attention to detail at all times
- Ability to work with different disciplines within the company (from Engineers to Technicians)
- 3 to 5 years experience
- ISODraw / Corel Draw experience
- LinkOne / PSPN experience an advantage
- Good technical understanding and capability to adapt quickly to a new field
- Previous IPC development
- Experience in related industry, mining or heavy mining machinery/ manufacturing
- Able to read and understand basic engineering drawings
- Content Management System experience (WindChill, SAP, Daproh, SharePoint, )
- Excellent knowledge of the MS Office software package especially Excel and Word
- Must be pro-active, able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proven track record with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Should possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels
