- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy aligned with the groups vision and goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define departmental objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction, renovation, and maintenance projects.
- Ensure other functional areas e.g. Facilities Management and Field Services are included in the design and construction of projects to ensure a smooth handover to operations upon completion.
- Monitor project budgets, analyze variances, and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Lead procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract administration.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry standards.
- Oversee technical systems, infrastructure, and utility hardware across our properties.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to optimize technical efficiency.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
- Implement effective project management methodologies.
- Work with other functional areas to ensure successful handover of completed projects and documentation.
- Identify and assess risks related to project costs, materials, and technical operations.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Generate regular financial reports, including cost breakdowns, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of technical data.
- Review project documentation for compliance with standards.
- Ensure all technical compliance certification & documentation are obtained and stored.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market rates, and emerging technologies.
- Explore innovative approaches to enhance technical efficiency.
- Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field (Masters preferred).
- Professional membership (e.g., MRICS, PQS) is advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in quantity surveying and technical management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software, technical systems, and tools.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and best practices
